Substance Abuse Policy

Our policy is to employ a workforce free from alcohol abuse or the use of illegal drugs. Any employee who violates this policy will face disciplinary actions. This will include termination, even for a first offense. Zero tolerance for drug abuse will be enforced.

We strive to provide a safe and healthy work environment, free from the use of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol and set forth the following rules:

  • Employees may not consume alcoholic beverages or take illegal drugs on our premises, or any contracted client’s premises, doing so will result in immediate termination from position of security officer with this company. Employees may not report to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, as this will also result in immediate termination of employment with this company and revocation of your security officer license.

 

  • Legal drugs that include prescribed and over-the-counter drugs, which have been legally obtained and used for the purpose for which they are intended, may be used. Illegal drugs include any drug which is not legally obtained or which is being used in a manner or for a purpose other than as prescribed.

 

If the prescribed drugs or over the counter drugs contain ingredients such as:

 

Codeine, Antihistamines, and Cough medications containing alcohol which may impair performance or the ability of an employee to perform his or her duties in a safe manner will not be permitted.

 

C & F Security has in place an employee Substance Abuse Policy regarding the dangers of substance abuse in the work place. Violation of this policy will result in termination of the employee.
